Increase of noise. We live higher than most under the flight approach which is the majority of the time due to prevailing winds. The whining of the engines is still excessive even when we were told it would be removed. The increase volume of planes will intensify the noise. The second and additional runway when Gatwick was only to have one. No reason to have another. Pollution, on occasions we can smell fuel even from the distance we live at. The reduced width/area on approach increases all the points above.
