I fully support the runway proposal as it will greatly contribute to the economic prosperity of the region & the country. In a very particular way, it can be seen that new routes & greater frequencies will allow us to trade overseas more effectively. Following Covid, there is less business travel but it is still vital, whether it is to supply & service equipment for export or source goods for import. Furthermore, the Government has recently signed a number of trade deals & there is no alternative to flying longhaul to those destinations. The capacity will also bring connectivity to the regions of the UK where rail is not an option such as Northern Ireland, the Highlands & Islands of Scotland, The Isle of Man & the Channel Isles.
