Policy has been (deliberately?) misinterpreted by the airport as this is an application for a new runway which does not comply with government policy. Government Aviation Strategy allows one for one additional runway in the South East and that was identified as and approved for Heathrow, plus Increase in aircraft noise due to increased overflights in the Churt Surrey Hills AONB Area Impact on climate change Devaluing my home due to increased low level overflights in the Churt Surrey Hills AONB Area Affecting my wellbeing and sleep through increase in aircraft movements Lack of surface transport around Gatwick Decline in air quality Lack of affordable housing and amenities to support the additional workforce There is no existing second runway currently operating in conjunction with the main runway (it is only used when the main runway is not being used) – so Gatwick is misleading residents about the current existence of a ‘second’ runway. This is Gatwick seeking expansion and a second runway via “the back door”
