The Gatwick Plan is to handle an additional 100,000 flights carrying 37million more passengers and achieve Net Zero emissions in 7 years time. This Holy Grail is totally unbelievable and unachievable. Yes there would be more jobs but what about the effects on health/quality of life from sustained noise pollution and reduced air quality. The infrastructure for electric transportation to the airport will not be in place for over a decade despite what our politicians keep telling us. On every count this plan stinks and will only benefit business stakeholders.
