Noise impact on my day to day life. Pollution impact on my day to day life. Pollution impact over whole area. Decline in air quality. Significantly more aircraft noise. My home is under the flight path in Burstow. The noise levels of overhead aircraft are significantly louder than my neighbours 100 yards away, yet we are treated the same. The only option Gatwick give is sealing up the windows entirely so they cannot be opened. What a way to live!! I also have six open fireplaces!! The noise and pollution impact would be so great I would be unable to use or enjoy my garden. Jet engines have physiochemical properties similar to those of diesel exhaust particles. Fuel and noise pollution from jet planes can have negative effects on health and poor quality of life. [Redacted]The best option for us would be for Gatwick to buy us out. This does not fit in with lowering future carbon emissions. Transport links cannot cope with any further redevelopment. The surrounding rural areas will just become one huge car park. Roads will become gridlocked. Chance of more flooding in flood area. Increased employment is debatable as automation will take over jobs. Not good neighbours. Gatwick, who are foreign owned, just want to increase profits for themselves at whatever environmental cost. Gatwick are being very misleading, they do not currently have a northern runway. They want to replace an existing emergency runway by rebuilding a completely new runway. They have already been denied a second runway and are trying to get a second runway by any means possible. It was disappointing to see that the South East Region Conservative Conference in Crawley was sponsored by Gatwick Airport. Crawley and surrounding areas are already highly polluted.
