The timing of this proposed expansion is nonsense at a time when our environment is crumbling around us, you are considering giving the green light to yet another “mail in the coffin” Gatwick’s impact forecasts are seriously flawed and designed to deliberately underestimate impact particularly with regard to problems with water usage and sewage/drainage We should be encouraging people not to fly until airlines properly develop alternate means of fuelling their aircraft As for opening up more jobs, they can’t fill the Vacancies they currently have and ground crew in particular are always below full capacity making downright dangerous to expect an increase in workload which will come about as a result of expansion This is not the right time for expansion - sort infrastructure first, invest instead in alternate means of travel that do not damage our dying planet
