The number of low flying and noisy aircraft is already very large over Fordcombe and the surrounding area, and is particularly bad from June to September. The situation is already beyond stress-free toleration, yet Gatwick Airport is now proposing to increase its throughput by a further 100,000 flights per year. Noise and air pollution must enforce a non-increase in flights from this airport, not to mention the traffic jams and gridlock that will inevitably occur in the roads for miles around in an already crowded area that will prevent ordinary people from going about their normal business in a reasonable time.
