You would think that with the ever increasing climate change emergency, and the inevitable increase in air pollution the last thing any serious county needs is this second runway with thousands more flights bringing more road congestion and noise affecting all those 1,000’s of new developments that have sprung up over the years, all for more and more revenue for London Gatwick and to hell with people. Gatwick was built with one runway only and subsequent development allowed for this. How dare the BOARD run roughshod over those long standing plans. Might I suggest they put all their energies into site-ing an alternative airport, where planes can take off and arrive over the sea thus reducing the appalling noise and pollution promised for everyone presently under the flight path.
