We live directly under the flight path of Gatwick, and the aircraft noise is currently hellish, with aircraft passing over every few minutes and at a low level as they approach / leave Gatwick. The noise has become worse over time, impacting enjoyment of our property, inside and out (you have to shout at the person next to you in the garden when a plane goes over, and cannot even hear the television inside the house when a plane passes!), and with aircraft seemingly running later and earlier impacting sleep for me and my young family. Concerns also exist around safety and pollution, particularly with the proposals for a vast increase in flights, and the impact on our semi-rural village of Lingfield, not least recognising the areas of conservation, and the potential and increasing impact on wildlife (Lingfield is home to 80% of the country's most endangered wildlife). All of this ignores the added congestion to already congested and in some cases dangerous and poorly kept roads, and the fact that Heathrow has already been named as the most appropriate option for an additional runway! We and fellow residents cannot comprehend however Gatwick could be granted use of another runway! Regards Lawrence Mason
