I live in Horley. My main concerns are health. The smell of aviation fuel from the airport on certain days is considerable and probably not good for anyone's health. This is probably made worse when planes are taxiing and with another run way and more planes taxiing it is only going to get worse. Noise of course is the next issue followed by increased local traffic. We are always promised this wont be a problem whenever infrastructure expands, however if go on the M25 in rush our approaching Heathrow, you can experience where this problem first hand. Finally in this day and age when we are encouraging less travel by plane to reduce carbon emissions, I cannot see any of this is justified if we truly want to help the planet and our future. It is just a corporation wanting to make more money, dressed up in the usual way.
