We as a species need to work together for a sustainable future. Expanding the airport is not in line with all that we know about the climate issues and how human activity is impacting on this. We must consider the future of our young people and our planet and resist this idea that we need to continually grow economically. I strongly believe we must resist this urge to increase the number of flights. We must live within the means of the planet. Thank you for reading. I have previously commented but I'm not sure the information was received. We, as a species, need to pay attention to everything that is happening throughout the world, fires, extreme weather conditions, melting ice caps, increase in global temperatures, and consider how our actions, particularly in industrial nations are causing these conditions. We are mistaken if we think we can continuously expand and grow our economies in the way we have been doing. Expanding Gatwick Airport through the creation of another runway simply adds to the climate crisis. Please reconsider, for all our sakes.
