Main issues: 1. Noise from aircraft. Flight paths go directly over urban centres (eg Billingshurst and Southwater) rather than flying above rural areas. Need to vary the flight paths more to avoid one aircraft after another along the same routes over towns 2. Trains need to be available to match flight operating hours. Too often trains are not available for late or early flights 3. London to Brighton train line is too congested. Need additional lines. 4. Need integrated transport plan that links Gatwick and Heathrow with high speed train shuttle (underground) with 20mins transfers between the airports 5. Better regulation of airports to stop profiteering and excessive fees in airport lounges, parking, drop off fees etc
