I live on the Gatwick flight path in part of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural beauty. Our peace is constantly interrupted by the wine of jet engines and on some days it is every few minutes and all through the night. This disrupts our lives day and night. More planes will exacerbate all the pollution and quality of life issues. When the UK is aiming for carbon neutral increasing the number and regularity of flights into Gatwick is completely irrational. What is the actual need? Air travel for Holidays is not essential. The quality of life of the residents of this small island nation swings the balance against any further expansion. This is a classic example of developer/commercial led development, short term gain for long term damage. This expansion should be resisted at all costs
