There are 2 major impacts, noise and pollution. We live under the flight path for Gatwick and our peace is already disturbed day and night. Planes already fly directly over us at a low height and at very short intervals adding to noise from light aircraft and helicopters. For example, our village play (held outdoors) this summer was at times drowned out by the planes. Additional flights for which there seems to be no justification other than commercial interests would severely exacerbate this situation impacting on our health and wellbeing. Additional flights would also substantially increase the atmospheric pollution in our area and be detrimental to efforts to limit climate change.
