I am concerned that the increase in proposed aircraft movements if the Gatwick expansion is allowed to go ahead will cause greater aircraft noise and pollution over my property, which is already blighted by noise in particular the larger aircraft which find it difficult to gain height quickly and currently prevents any conversation taking place as they go over. We are within the area of outstanding national beauty and on the edge of flight path 4 and notice Emirates flights are already a particular problem. I am also concerned that more noise from flights will devalue my property. Impact on the local area with increased traffic, flooding and pollution also concerns me. Does the UK really need this extra capacity? The proposal is being sold as an extension to an existing 2nd runway, I believe this is not the case and it is a multi-billion pound programme to expand taxiways, terminals, piers, hangers, hotels, offices, and motorway style interchanges and will have a huge impact on the local area.
