I object to the planning of the new runway on the following grounds. The runway would an adverse effect on climate change The runway was never used as a runway so it’s a back door approach The airport wont actually create much more employment Detrimental to those living under the flight path as so many extra flights would take place Regards Sara Frohmader I wish to object to the proposed runway at Gatwick as it is a new runway. Gatwick doesn’t have 2 runways currently. It totally goes against all plans for environmental impact for aviation. It would create many extra flights per year, increasing noise yet not increasing employment. I urge you to stop this ‘back door’ proposal. I wish to object to Gatwick being given the green light for a 2nd runway. It completely contradicts our carbon goals, adds noise and pollution to those living underneath the flight path, would create a huge amount of air traffic with few extra jobs to compensate. We should be looking to reduce air travel and not encourage to which I strongly object.
