I am totally opposed to having a second runway at Gatwick Airport. This is for several reasons. The world needs less flying and it is becoming increasingly unnecessary. We face a huge crisis and need to stop or dratsically reduce the burning of fossil fuels. Using aeroplanes to travel to Europe is now unecessary and to the rest of the UK needs to be stopped entirely except for the Scottish islands. We also have more than enough aircraft noise. At present it is almost continuous. A swecoind runway would double that noise. This is an area of outstranding natural beauty.
