The CAGNE Aviation Town and Parish Council Forum is a non-voting body conducted in accordance with the council’s code of conduct. It consists of 32 members that surround Gatwick Airport. Members have been consulted and the consensus have agreed that the Forum should register an interest in the Gatwick Airport application for a new runway via the DCO process. The consensus of members, bar two Worth and Turners Hill Parish Councils, have asked that the Forum express objection to this application for a new runway. We do not believe it conforms to policy in ‘making best use of existing facilities’ as such should be dismissed. We object due the ramifications the airport would have on our parish and towns with 2 runways, evidence being many of our parishes and towns are already negatively impacted by the airport operations. Thank you. Yours sincerely Cllr C Leyland, Cllr K Dukes on behalf of members Secretary Cllr S Pavey [REDACTED]
