Further degradation of air and noise quality in the area from aeroplanes and road traffic. Impact on local housing need, albeit temporary potentially adding further challenge to Local Authority in cases of uncontrolled growth of temporary housing in farmland. Local Authority and local people will pick up the cost of inevitable infrastructural developments IE roads. Further build up of congestion on roads. Figures suggest that if the planned development goes ahead LGW will create 5.5% of annual CO2. There is report that no provision has been made for this. Little or no long-term provision has been made for flooding and water pollution, ultimately, locally into the river Mole. Pollution will include increase in output of UFPS. This is of particular concern where our own Government has chosen to use the recent (2021)WHO AQGs as guidelines only and long term targets. Presumably a long term target would not include development of such a significant polluter such as an airport with significant road usage for passengers and workers. The argument for employment is baseless in the long term. Automation at the airport has already seen relative decline in numbers if ground staff.
