My wife and I live in a small village c 12 miles north west of Gatwick. With the advent of the SATNAV an increasing number of cars and buses re-route through the village as a short cut and to avoid congestion on the M25/M23. The width of the roads through the village is wholly inadequate for the current volume of traffic and any increase would add congestion and impact adversely upon resident safety. If the planned expansion were to occur planning must provide for a blockage of added vehicles through the village.
