Already i am deprived of sleep by the noise of aircraft from Gatwick which starts at 5am and goes on until gone 1am.Throught the day endless aircraft fly directly over my home causing noise and pollution,and this constant barrage of sound has caused me both stress and depression.We are all well aware that carbon emissions are shortening peoples lives and are a seriouus threat to both humanity and the earth,and far from increasing flights Gatwick in my view should be trying to reduce them by at least 50%. There is no economic need for a second runway and Gatwick is just selfishly trying to swell its own profits through holiday traffic at the expense of the quality of life of local residents for which it has shown in the past on numerous occasions that it has no regard.It is way past time for those in authority to take climate change seriously and act to reduce emissions rather than just looking to make profit at the expense of quality to life of others.Quite apart from the runway much build up of infrastructure of roads and buildings would further ruin what was once a beautiful part of the English countryside.
