We are deeply concerned about the proposed additional flights and affect on increased noise and frequency of noise pollution as well as the very significant increase in carbon and greenhouse gases. From a personal point of view, I researched the situation regarding noise pollution before buying our present property, almost 15 years ago. I concluded that the noise levels at that time would be acceptable. However the situation has steadily worsened and especially so because, unlike Heathrow, night flights are currently allowed. This means that we are constantly aware of aircraft during the day and are often woken up during the night or early morning. This problem has already become life changing for our family and the proposed additional flights, should they come to fruition, will necessitate sale of our property, doubtless at a significantly reduced value because of the problem. It is surely obvious to everyone now that the potential for very significant increases in greenhouse and carbon gases is totally unacceptable and would appear to me to be an egregious lack of understanding, even to suggest this idea of increased flights.
