Prospect represents members working for a number of employers at Gatwick as well as in the wider aviation sector in a range of roles. Prospect supports this proposal. This is because we believe that across the UK we are seeing the implications increasingly congested airspace and infrastructure and the proposals of this type could build resilience in the system. Furthermore, the air transport sector provides many thousands of skilled and unionised roles for our members. Investment at the airport is likely to support existing jobs and create new ones.
