I believe this project to be in direct contradiction to the UK Government's legally binding commitments to achieve net-zero by 2050. I also believe the economic beneifts of the project to have been overstated by Gatwick Airport. Further, I believe the project will in fact have a significant determental effect on the health, wellbeing and safety of local residents, and will further contribute to the continued and indeed acclerating destruction of the natual world in the UK.
