We live in a rural area outside Tunbridge Wells and moved to the countryside to get away from the noise and stress of London about 11 years ago. Within a couple years we noticed that a lot of aircraft were flying directly over our property at increasingly low heights and making an increasing amount of noise. Today - especially in summer - it is so bad that you can literally see planes flying in a line one after another overhead for hours at a time. When we first moved here the flight approach to Gatwick was apparently quite wide and then it was changed to be a narrow flight path and concentrated a lot of aircraft traffic in the area where I live. There was a lot of local protest. Today the volume of aircraft and resulting noise pollution is very unpleasant. We also worry about the resulting pollution.
