This project is expects additional flights of 100,000 per annum. this is untenable. It is unreasonable and gives no thought to those affected by the flight path. It is already noise hell in Lingfield with low flights often only 2/3 minutes apart. This will make it impossible to sleep with flights scheduled to come in all through the night. presently we have to keep windows closed and are unable to enjoy our outdoor spaces due to constant screaming planes. There are many other viable airports which are ignored, East Midlands, Birmingham, Stanstead, Luton which could be used instead. Yet are bypassed to get to Gatwick. Severe traffic problems are common with clogged roads and people illegally parking in Lingfield to take taxis. Heathrow has already been named as the best option for a new runway, not Gatwick. The present 'emergency' runway is not for the sinister and deceitful ploy of getting another main runway. The Lingfield area is already subject to unacceptable pollution and the proposal can only make this worse. it is not beyond the bounds of reason to imagine that another "emergency" runway could be completed which could lead to unacceptable traffic and more pollution with disturbance to our living conditions. the Gatwick propaganda is severely flawed. New jobs will be low grade and become automated. It will not add to the regions economy. we should not allow or encourage multiple flights/holidays which is a drain on the economy. Heathrow is the UK's main hub not Gatwick which is solely a holiday airport. the area is already over developed. Landscaping will only add to destruction of our valuable environment which is already stretched. There is no room for highway improvements. This is a rural area with poor dangerous roads and poor infrastructure. The local councils, Surrey CC and Tandridge DC should be consulted. In short this plan must be rejected as soon as possible.
