We live under the flight path to Gatwick albeit some distance from the airport. Despite the fact that night flights are not permitted, over the past five years there has been a considerable increase in night time activity with flights passing over the house multiple times a night, every night. Given that we live in an AONB and SSSI with several species of rare birds that are active at night it is unlikely that the night flights with highly visible lights, noise and pollution are not having an impact, not to mention the disturbance this causes me and other residents in the area. The prospect of another runway with more flights and no doubt more overnight activity is extremely concerning and I would be interested to understand how night activity will be controlled, especially over protected areas.
