Further expansion of Gatwick airport is unnecessary and detrimental . Any increase in air transport should be centred to the North of England to help obtain the levelling up being sought by Government and prevent further strain on the overloaded transport system. The infrastructure surrounding the air port can not cope now. Expansion will only help destroy the beautiful English countryside and villages which are reasons why visitors want to visit England. Global warming is a fact. The carbon foot print of air travel cannot be off set. This is not the time to increase air travel but decrease it so that the future generation can enjoy the best life style possible.
