The proposed Gatwick Airport expansion will irreversibly damage the environment and make life in villages and towns close to the airport and under the flight paths unbearable. It’s proposed by overseas investors who don’t care about the consequences for the local communities. The plans are disproportionately large and the local infrastructure will not cope and this will cause huge problems in the areas around the airport. The increased air pollution will affect health of vulnerable and healthy people in local communities. The plan is an environmental disaster in the making.
