I strongly object to the new runway. Flights already have a significant impact on my and other's lives. I either have to close my windows at night or use earplugs, which for protracted use can cause cause [redacted]. This is particularly bad for the summer months when the nights are hot and having the window closed is not an option. This leads to broken sleep and tiredness during the day which affects the work and things I try to do. Increased flights caused by another runway will severely exacerbate the problem. We also do not have the infrastructure or housing to support the additional traffic and population another runway will bring. Roads are already over capacity and travelling in the area can be a nightmare. There are not enough houses for local people despite many thousands of new houses in recent years. This has already caused devastation to our countryside and pressure for even more will simply mean that the whole area will become an urban jungle rather than a natural one. This can be good for nobody, leading to stress, anxiety and overcrowding and forcing any remaining wildlife away forever. The pollution brought by another runway should not be underestimated. Aircraft are major polluters themselves, and the additional traffic, notably much slower traffic because of the increase in numbers, will increase respiratory disease and badly affect our environment. I urge you to reject this proposal as it will blight the lives of many thousands of us for generations to come.
