The impact on residents in the area, notably on the flight path into Gatwick from the east is disproportionate to any benefit. There are other airports within east reach if London, notably Stansted and Luton, with plenty of capacity to take more flights if these are necessary. If we are serious about Net Zero we should positively discourage such developments
