The usae of this runway will affect much wild life and the Gatwick Ponds, and also the noise so close to the houses. Being so close to houses is a problem of dirty fuel waste, noise and heaven forbid any accident. The A@£ is already choc a block with traffic at this area and that would make it worse. Therefore I am not in favour of this proposal. However I used to work at LGW for many years and I know how great an airport it is (or used to be) but this is not the place for a runway, it should be on the other side of the airport near lowfield Heath industrial and out more in fields. Will the residents of Horley be compensated for the polution from having this proposal...........I doubt it very much and yet it is the people of Horley Surrey who will have to put up with this. The airport is in West Sussex, so put a new runway in West Sussex and not Surrey. As for new jobs, there will not be as many as anticipated due to automation, so pleaase dont go using that as an excuse to put more annoyance on Horley.
