Dear Sir/Madam, I strongly object to Gatwick Airport’s proposal to add a second runway. I live [Redacted] in Bidborough, a village firmly under the Gatwick flight path, and as it is, many villages like ours are already suffering from the fairly constant aircraft noise, including during very early and late times in the day. Increasing the traffic to and from Gatwick Airport even further, especially at a time when society is rightly concerned about the environmental impact of flying, would seem to benefit no-one other than the management and corporate owners of Gatwick Airport. We should therefore as a society push back firmly on Gatwick’s attempts to implement an expansion that will have such negative impact on the quality of life for so many people.
