This planned Runway is unneccesary. Gatwick Airport primarily provides services to holidaymakers and as such is a primary exporter of foreign currency. Aviation generally is a major polluter and enjoys too many Government subsidies. Gatwick is already a major polluter of the local area and a second runway will increase pollution and also direct more of it over Horley and the surrounding area. Noise will also increase for local residents.
