There is already too much air traffic immediately overhead. Directly above our homes. This has increased enormously in recent years. Despite regulation on noise at unsocial hours the peak of such traffic tends to be between about 10.30pm and 1am. There is about 30 seconds between aircraft at times and therefore no respite from constant noise-just varying degrees of loudness. Weekends are also affected and if we are outdoors that space is blighted. The incoming flights are all taking the same pathway so those that are affected get ALL OF IT. The pollution and effect on the environment generally is being disregarded. This is more than a nuisance and the spoiling of a community's lifestyle. The ecosystem, wildlife and all that supports our existence on this planet is jeopardised and we don't understand why air traffic seems to be exempt from responsibility or accountability for it's contribution to this damage. Air traffic is necessary but not at the extreme and damaging levels currently operating. Let alone any expansion of this folly.
