In summary this is a ludicrous scheme for so many reasons. Unnecessary & contrary to the UK green policy, building another active runway will increase noise & pollution in an already busy and congested part of the country. With less need for business travel as companies use more technology and less air miles it is unlikely to generate more income other than for greedy foreign shareholders and the claim about job creation is also weak. Our airports and airlines in no way compensate the state for the damage they cause to the environment.
