I am interested to assess and evaluate how an airport which has operated with a terminal shut for months, which charges for people to even drop off passengers, and whose parking is chaotic, can justify an application for further runway capacity when it is already over flying the surrounding area unacceptably, in a location where the infrastructure for water supply, the water table and drainage, car parking capacity, housing and accommodation capacity, rail capacity and motorway capacity are all already overstretched. Once we have further details outside of the current very glossy overview, there will be much to unpick in the business case and justification for this unwanted and unjustifiable plan. We need a wider spread of employment, not a further concentration, as noise and environment restrictions will sure demand fewer flights by larger aircraft. This proposal is surely unsupportable and needs to be much more closely examined, there is only sufficient information currently available to confuse the authorities and the public, and this enterprise should not be allowed to proceed any further.
