My husband and are elderly and (Redacted) we find the noise of aircraft to be very disturbing. It is particularly bad when the planes come over at very short intervals in the late evening when we are trying to sleep. It is very distressing to think that a second runway would increase this noise and pollution greatly. Where is the justification in ruining thousands of people’s quality of life by adding more aircraft to our skies when actually cutting back is the answer to our climate emergency.
