We are very concerned at the additional noise pollution this project will bring to our home and those in close vicinity as the new runway will mean a flight path much closer ( almost overhead) to our property and other parts of Smallfield . There will be additional flights ( the incidence of night flights this summer seemed much higher )and especially in summer a much higher number of night flights that will prevent us from sleeping with our windows open. Possibly this new runway should be restricted to daytime use. We believe a condition of the expansion should be a significant restriction on night flights such as those at Heathrow and other major airports. We are also concerned as to the local infrastructure and roads that this expansion could bring with additional congestion, street parking etc.
