I am a local resident. I have lived here for over 60 years. I have seen a lot of changes at Gatwick. It has grown and become busier. For the Emergency Runway to be introduced full time is going to be a nightmare. I am, like most people, concerned with Climate Change. I take onboard the warnings of pollution on our World. This 2nd runway will only produce more pollution and harm to our planet. The literature produced to enthuse us seems to want to excite us with more airlines, more passengers, more jobs, more roads, more car parks! The Airport should be ashamed! As for more jobs, well, there are so many vacancies already at Gatwick that are not filled, where will these job hunters appear from? Who wants this other runway? The investors? The Foreign owners? When do we say enough is enough?
