At busy times we suffer from almost constant aircraft noise (roughly every 3 minutes) from low flying aircraft on approach to Gatwick airport. It also appears the flight path has been adjusted this year (2023) so that it passes directly over our house and garden. This frankly is unacceptable as it virtually makes it impossible to enjoy our garden during the summer months and even impinges on indoor conversations. Frankly to quote a modern idiom, "it does our heads in!" With the constant house building program in the South East, road congestion is an ever increasing issue, coupled with the appalling state of the roads. Further increased traffic to/from Gatwick Airport will only exacerbate this situation. I am also aware that Gatwick's CEO, Mr Stewart Wingate has been appointed co Chair of the Governments' Aviation Council which is supposed to handle and decide planning applications as an independent committee! Hardly independent with Mr Wingate in residence! A total conflict of interest and Mr Wingate should be removed from this role immediately. Thank you for considering our serious concerns over proposed Gatwick Airport expansion, it's big enough already and current aircraft nuisance should be a priority consideration, NOT an opportunity to make it worse. Yours sincerely, Roger Preston.
