I object to the expansion of Gatwick and the building of the Northern Runway. The Gatwick aeroplanes already come over my house and garden. The noise they make causes me(Redacted) and irritation. I get woken in the night by night flights. I already moved away from the Heathrow flight path thinking this would be a safe haven - but it isn't. I am much further away from the Gatwick runway now than I was from the Heathrow runway, but the planes are just as low as they were coming into Heathrow. I object environmentally as every extra flight damages our planet. Demand for air travel is being artificially boosted by the fact that aviation fuel is not taxed. I don't think I should be subsidising holiday flights for other people and helping to ruin our planet. If aviation was taxed fairly, then tickets would be more expensive and demand for air travel would not rise. It seems crazy that we are all making sacrifices to add insulation to our homes and driving our cars less, while unnecessary air travel is still being encouraged.
