Our previously peaceful daily lives and sleep in Tunbridge Wells are already blighted by the noisy low flying and other aggressive practices instituted by Gatwick airport, as are those in historic Penshurst, Hever and beyond. A second runway would mean 24/7 disruption with no breaks from an airport permitted to operate around the clock. Gatwick continue to flout regulations and break agreements in the service of their foreign owners. It is a further scandal that Gatwick’s boss,(Redacted), has been appointed to a position in which he gets to make the rules and influence government.
