The aircraft noise is currently extremely bad, starting early in the morning, all day and going on late in the evening. It is a massive blight in our area of outstanding natural beauty and green belt. Any increase in the number of planes will massively exacerbate the problem. It will put a large strain on the roads and infrastructure surrounding the airport and on the M23 and M25 which are already at standstill at many times of the day. The pollution over both built up areas and the countryside is also a worry. It will not produce any economic benefit to the area and there is not enough housing to accommodate the increase in workforce required to work at an enlarged airport. The south east has enough air capacity and this is the wrong decision for this already overcrowded and polluted corner of the UK.
