I would like to state that I am strongly against a new runway at Gatwick Airport. I am a local resident but my main concern is environmental. As a country we are already falling very short on our environmental targets and we have to start making decisions that take the protection of the environment, wildlife and nature as the most important factor. Not to mention the extra toxic fumes and pollution created by more aircraft coming in to an already busy air space.
