I would like to learn more about noise levels, including the altered flight paths in combination with existing aircraft noise reduction regulations and new technology that will reduce engine noise. I am also concerned that increase road traffic at the M23 junction will not be effectively managed as the M23 roundabout - as well as the other roundabouts at South and North terminals - are already inadequate to manage traffic flow. Surely, even British road engineers can sort this problem. If not we can hire some competent engineering and construction companies from abroad. Finally, concern about GHG emissions is a "red herring". The Net Zero law mandates "zero" GHG emissions from all sectors by 2050, so the low carbon technology for aviation sector will magically appear by 2050. If the Net Zero technology fairies do not perform, the airport will need to reduce or eliminate flights. This is a risk assumed by Gatwick's private investors. Furthermore, the high cost of this unknown Net Zero technology will deter growth in air traffic - another risk assumed by the private investors at Gatwick. I generally support economic growth so would support the proposal subject to more details on road traffic and noise.
