Many reasons incuding Huge increase in noise ,huge increase in pollution from aviation fuel , huge increase in traffic volumes. Years of disruption due to infrastructure necessary to service the construction and the the increased passenger number,s once completed. Is it necessary or is this a project to increase the potential sale value of this facility. Catastrophic impact on the village of charlwood dating back a thousand years. The south east is already at breaking point re the road network. Water requirements could be seriously put at risk locally due to increased demands of the airport. I ceased flood risk due to increased runoff with the river mole already overwhelmed when we have heavy rain and Thames water have already been fined due to effluent outages which could also increase as the sewage plants locally are already at capacity and who is going to pay for new sewage plants , not Gatwick but the taxpayer
