We should be cutting down on plane travel , not increasing it, to reduce our carbon footprint. A second runway would increase the pollution in a crowded area of the south east. Plane travel must decrease if we are to reach net zero in time. The noise from Gatwick aircraft is already very intrusive in our area and disturbs sleep every night in spite of the fact that the NPR is further south.
