I strongly object on the following grounds: - Significantly increased noise and air pollution under the flight path (my house). I understand the number of flights could increase almost fourfold to 386k per year, and little consideration appears to have been given to disturbance to households under the flightpath from the inevitable increase in night flights. - Additional flights would significantly increase fossil fuel emissions which flies in the face of the government's net zero commitments and common sense - The application effectively appears to be for a new runway, given my understanding that Gatwick does not have two runways that it can operate concurrently. I am advised this is against government aviation strategy and policy. - Increased traffic congestion and pollution on the M23 and other local roads, and increased pressure on the local train service (which cannot cope at the moment). - The vast majority of any new airport jobs will be low skilled, which have little job security.
