I object to the proposals on grounds of; Increased noise - a massive increase in flights must mean more noise Increased pollution- more jets =more CO2 Increased pollution- more people using the airport equates to more Road miles so more CO2 Increased traffic - more passengers means more passenger journeys so more vehicles on roads. Other than previous widening of M23, no other infrastructure improvements are planned (except very close to the airport) for surrounding roads which are already very busy Construction pollution - building the runway will necessitate CO2 and other increases that would not happen if 5he plan does not go ahead. No need - the only needs are commercial and so increase profits for shareholders. There is no actual need to increase flights
